Domaine Michel Bregeon - vineyard, Nantes, Clisson

Vineyard in Domaine Michel Bregeon
Vineyard in Domaine Michel Bregeon

If you go from the French town of Clisson to Nantes, then literally after five kilometers you will find yourself among the vineyards of .Domaine Michel Bregeon

From Domaine to Nantes 25 kilometers, to the ocean - an hour's drive

But first, of course, a meeting with Fred Lailler , Domaine Michel Bregeon...

Today we have a guest winemaker from France Fred. Fred suggested visiting winery so that we could (in a relaxed atmosphere) discuss the interview with him. I refused, because the road would be, although interesting, but distant ... And to whom , I ask, should I leave the Pokemon cat? But, in general, I liked Fred's suggestion, because it coincides in spirit with my thoughts.

Fred Lailler:

What do I believe in?

Revaluation of local producelocal produce, seeking out the authenticity of the wines and elaborating living wines. In order to succeed, it required: converting to organic agriculture to reconnect with the land, limiting the yields, fermenting with native yeasts, lengthening the maturation times and of course, practising manual harvesting. I needed the right place, to experience complete harmony and invite the region into my bottles. Then I found Le Domaine Michel Bregeon...

Convinced that wine is the alchemy between a winegrower and a region, I had to

find a way to put my own stamp on the domain. Therefore, it is quite natural that

Domaine Michel Bregeon is in the process of transitioning into organic agriculture.

This agricultural progress for both present and future wellbeing shares a link with

the past. The conversion to organic agriculture will extend to the totality of the

domain by 2019, with part of the conversion complete by the end of 2018.

1 - The history of creating your favorite white (yellow) wine?

My favorite White is "Gorges", which came from vines tacking roots on gabbro soils.

2 - What is your favorite wine (red or white)? And why?

My favorite wine is a red one : "Grand Mont 2011", Domaine de la Chevalerie, Bourgueil. Because it was really a great tasting and a big emotion with this wine : silky tanin and very fruity aromas

3 - Is it accepted at winemakers to consume both red and white wine at the same time? Or is it considered a bad taste?

I think you can taste every wine at the same time if it's good wines!

4 - List, if possible, a set (gift box) of four or six own wines (rose and white), which, in your opinion, can be worthy of representing your farm?
