In 2003, Florence Prud’homme took over Château Saincrit, located in Saint André de Cubzac in the north of the Gironde. This 23-ha estate with clay-limestone and sandy soil is made up of various varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sémillion, all characteristic of AOC Bordeaux Supérieur. The growing methods have been carefully considered with the aim of satisfying individual tastes without being unfaithful to the terroir. Château Saincrit offers a range of wines, from fresh, young wines to rich wines, complex in the mouth.

I am pleased to introduce a new member of the "Yellow Road", Family winery Cadis Christophe and Ann Vinot The farm, located on a hill and extending into a valley, is located in Roquebrune, in the Upper Entre-de-Mercs, between Dordogne and Garonne. The estate covers an area of 16.75 hectares, almost all of which are devoted to cultivation.

Alessandro Martelli, owner of the vineyard Azienda Agricola Incontri, shared on the “Yellow Road” information about places in Livorno, the history of which is connected with the brilliant Italian painter Amedeo Modigliani. Amedeo was born in Livorno in 1884. What is now known in Tuscany about the artist?

In 1967, Martellino Martelli, grandfather of Alessandro, the current owner, bought a farm in the village of Fossoni in Suvereto, thereby starting the family’s agricultural activities. In 1985, Martellino’s son Renzo and his wife Marcella Busdragi began producing bottled natural wines. In 1989, Martellino bought another farm in Incontri a Suvereto, which today gives its name to the current farm. In 2000, Alessandro took over the activities of his parents, and even today he enthusiastically leads the work begun by his grandfather Martellino.

For the first time in its young history, the "Yellow Road" encountered unforeseen circumstances. The fact is that on the peninsula of Gargano, the region of Puglia, Italy (for those who have not heard about the peninsula Gargano, we give here a little help) a meeting was held with the winemaker Nello. His small winery makes only red wine. Wine MACCHIATELLO (from Macchiia grapes). The history of its creation is as surprising as the peninsula Gargano itself. Nello searches, looks after, restores ancient varieties of vines, which many years ago grew in this region and already from this "ancient" grapes gets its wine ... Red. Of course, it is impossible to include red wine in the Yellow Road ... But it's also impossible not to talk about such a winery. It remains to be hoped that Nello will come up with something with white grapes ... In the near future.

The Yellow Road is already in Tuscany.
